Jordan River Commission

If you’re based in or traveling through Salt Lake City, UT - you know just how important water is in our city. It feeds our Great Salt Lake, creates the greatest snow on Earth, and sustains critical habitat for at risk wildlife species.

The Jordan River Commission hosts volunteer events throughout the year with the theme “#LoveYourWatershed” every Second Saturday. Events range from trash cleanups along the Jordan River to tree plantings, and create a sense of community in the valley.

Fish for Garbage

Fish for Garbage is a Utah-based non-profit that is truly doing the work to minimize the impacts of litter in our waterways. From large-scale cleanup events along Utah’s major tributaries to K-12 education, this organization tackles this problem from many facets to ensure clean water for present and future generations.

I’d love to hear how and where you’re making an impact!
